 Description:
The Diver Medic (DMT) is now a popular course and consists of 12 days duration with 72 contact hours in classroom covering practical and theoretical studies.
The Diver Medic Refresher consists of 5 days with 35 contact hours.
Diver First Aid courses are no longer taught as this has been superseded by First Aid at Work qualification commonly known as F.A.W.
The courses are designed to give every diver a knowledge of first aid and for those who wish to progress, a deeper insight to Diver Medicine with the ability to cope with most emergencies encountered within the diving field.
Due to training being held at one of the busiest Hyperbaric Units in the Country we will try to offer as much practical experience in the Hyperbaric Field as possible, ranging from routine patient care through to the critically ill ventilated patient in a Hyperbaric environment.
Because the training facility operates a Fast Response Car for the Northwest Ambulance Service we will try as often as possible for candidates crew the vehicle and assist the Medical Team wherever possible.
A minimum of 6 candidates is required to run each course. Hyperbaric Treatment and Training Services reserve the right to cancel courses.
